Terry
Miller
Terry got his musical start in elementary school.  His musical talents started out on the trumpet.  He made Grossmont High School very proud earning a scholarship to the Berklee School of Music in Boston.  He also plays piano, harmonica and acoustic guitar, but his true love is the electric guitar.  Terry has been playing guitar since 1964.  In 1980 he became part of the duo known as 'Kennard & Miller'. Terry began playing in a five piece band the 'Honkytonk Kings' in early 2000 until mid 2003. In the summer of 2003, Terry branched out on his own, to form a three piece band, called "Two Lane Highway", where he is current member.  Terry sings lead and harmony vocals, and still plays some of the hottest licks, on the electric guitar, in town.  They play a variety of music from Oldies to Country, from Blues to Reggae and so much more. They don't play from a list just name a tune and they can play it for you. Recently, in the beginning of 2007, Terry began playing bass guitar, and singing vocals, for the newly formed band "Tradewinds". You can hear them playing throughout San Diego with songs by Jimmy Buffet and The Beatles. In 2008, Terry joined another band, "52nd Street", playing Bass guitar for songs by Billy Joel. Making his band count up to three sometimes four. There is never a dull moment in his life.
Terry's musical influences vary in style from the Beatles, Eric Clapton and Chicago, to the country sounds of Steve Wariner, Marty Stewart and Steve Earle. Most recently added Billy Joel.
